Position of the open European half marathon WRF

Running Event Regulations

1. General Provisions.

The running event “The Open European Half-Marathon WRF” is held within the framework of the WRF program “Development of amateur athletics and running in the Europe”.

● promotion of healthy lifestyles aimed at improving the public psychological climate and life expectancy due to the popularization of jogging among the population of the Europe;

● fixing European records in running WRF

● assignment of titles to Gold label WRF inclusive

● development of mass sports;

● stimulating the growth of sporting achievements in long-distance running;

2. Place and date of the Event.

2.1. Location: Greece, Kalamata, embankment of the port city.

2.2. Date: August 29, 2019.

2.3. Duration: from 9:00 to 14:00.

2.4. The main characteristics and the program of the Event are presented in section 5 of these Regulations.

3. Event Organizers.

3.1. The event organizers are:

- Organizer 1– ANO Development Assistance in Track and Field Development “World Running Federation”

- Organizer 2– sports organization of the municipality of Kalamata

4. Terms of financing the Event.

4.1. The costs of organizing and conducting the Event are covered by:

- funds of sponsors, payments of participants for participation in the Event;

4.2. The costs of sending nonresident participants (travel, accommodation, meals, per diem) are borne by the sending organization.

5. Description of the format of the event.

5.1. The event includes several types of races for various distances and related cultural events for participants and guests.

5.1.1. Cultural events are held in order to create conditions for informal rest for participants and guests and may include workshops, a concert program on the stage, as well as musical and theatrical points of support at a distance.

In the starting and finishing town there are: a stage for the ceremonial part of the competition, rooms for registration of participants, changing rooms, lockers, starting and finishing structures, toilets.

5.1.2. The event includes the following disciplines:

1. Distance 300m (max. Distance time 5 minutes) from 4 to 9 years old inclusive

2. Distance 5 km (max. Time 40 minutes) from 16 years old inclusive

3. Distance 21.1 km (max. Time 3 hours) from 18 years old inclusive

5.1.3. The participant independently assesses the level of his training and determines which race he participates in.

5.1.4. The limit on the number of participants of the Event: 2000 people.

5.1.5. Description of the route:

- the main track coverage: asphalt.

5.1.6. Starting location: embankment of the central port of Kalamata.

5.1.7. The location of the finish: the finish is located at the start. At each kilometer there will be a kilometer mark.

5.1.8. At a distance of 21.1 km there are catering facilities available to participants. Catering facilities are located on the 4th, 10th, 16th km of the route. The food points offer water, food.

5.1.9. The schedule of the start of the distances and related cultural and entertainment events is published on the website http://wrf.life, http://sportmaniacs.com no later than one week before the date of the running event.

5.1.10. Categories of participants.

a) Amateur and professional jogging from 4 years and older are allowed to participate in the Event. The age category of a participant is determined when they register on the site http://sportmaniacs.com, http://sportmaniacs.com. The age of the participant is determined by the number of full years on the day of the running event.

Participants aged from 4 to 17 years inclusive are allowed to the Event accompanied by adults - legal representatives or the leader of the group. In addition to the documents specified in paragraph

5.2.9. of this Regulation, for the admission of a minor participant to participate in the Event, the legal representative of the minor participant must provide a document confirming the authority of the legal representative.

Such a document may be:

- Passport, certifying the identity of the parent, containing a note of the civil registry office on registration of the child's birth;

- Passport, certifying the identity of the parent, with the presentation of the birth certificate of the child, if the passport does not contain a mark of the registry office on registration of the birth of the child;

5.1.9. Age groups of participants:

10-17 years old, boys and girls.

18-29 years old, male and female.

30-39 years old, male and female.

40-49 years old, male and female.

50-59 years old, male and female.

60-64 years old, male and female.

65-70 years old, male and female.

71-75 years old, male and female.

76-80 years old, male and female.

80 + years old, male and female.

5.1.10. The order of summing up and rewarding.

All participants will be awarded exclusive medals with memorable symbols of the Event.

Winners in the disciplines "300m, 5km, 21.1 km" are determined based on the net running time of the distance (the difference between the exit time from the starting gate and the time of crossing the finish line).

According to the results of the 300m race, the awards are held in the following tests:

 Absolute standings: 1-3 place (boys and girls)

According to the results of the 5 km race, the awards are held in the following tests:

 Absolute credit: 1-3 place (men and women);

According to the results of the 21.1 km race, the award is held in the following tests:

• Absolute Score: 1-3 places (men and women over 18 years old).

Partners and sponsors of the Event may establish special nominations and prizes in agreement with the Organizers.

Awarding of winners in age categories is carried out after the formation of preliminary protocols on the day of the event. The winner is awarded among men and women, that is the 1st place in the age group.

A participant who is a winner in one of the tests, but did not come to the award and did not receive his award on the day of the running event, may receive an award within 21 calendar days from the date of the running event. Memorable gift can be sent cash on delivery.

5.1.11. Restrictions, prohibitions, disqualification.

a) The participant is prohibited from entering the distance if he did not provide a medical certificate of admission or did not fill out a form of personal responsibility for his health.

In any case, the organizers are not responsible for the health of participants due to the lack of preventive medical examinations. The organizers recommend to be examined no later than 6 months before the start.

b) A participant who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not allowed to a running event (including disqualification).

c) The medical officer accompanying the Event has the right to prevent the participant from starting or to withdraw from the race on the basis of a visual inspection (as agreed with the chief judge).

d) If the participant is allowed to start, but did not reach the start or finish, his result is not taken into account. Such a participant in the final protocol, published on http://wrf.life, http://russiarunning.com, is assigned the status, respectively, of DNS (Do not start) or DNF (Do not finish).

e) If a participant fails to start at the scheduled time, he will be assigned the DNS status in the final protocol.

f) If the participant has not crossed the finish zone (fizzled out), he is assigned DNF status in the final protocol.

g) A participant may be disqualified and his results annulled both during the running event and after, by decision of the Chief Justice.

h) Reasons for disqualification: according to the technical rules of the World Run Federation (WRF) located at http://wrf.life.

5.1.12. Protests

a) Each participant may submit a protest against the result contained in the published preliminary protocol.

b) Rules and deadlines for filing a protest.

 A protest may be presented orally, in writing, and also by e-mail.

• The protest must be addressed to the Chief Justice.

The protest must indicate the circumstances on which the participant bases his claims and the evidence confirming these circumstances.

 A protest may be submitted on the day of the running event or within three calendar days from the date of publication of the preliminary protocol http://wrf.life

c) The term of consideration of the protest is 15 working days.

5.2. Registration of participants of the running event.

5.2.1. Applications for participation in running events are served on the website http://sportmaniacs.com.

5.2.2. Electronic registration of participants for a running event ends at 23:00 Athens time, September 10, 2019 or earlier if the number of participants is reached.

5.2.3. All participants are assigned start numbers. The participant must participate in the running event under his number. Transfer of the start number to another participant is not allowed.

5.2.4. A registered participant is one who has submitted an application for participation, has paid for participation and received confirmation of registration.

The participant is notified of the successful registration by SMS message to the phone number or letter to the email address specified during the registration process.

5.2.5. A sign of the participant's admission to a running event is the issuance of a starter pack to him.

5.2.6. To receive a starter pack, a participant must submit:

- document proving identity and age;

  1. The last name, first name and patronymic (if available) of the participant, indicated by him when registering on the site http://russiarunning.com, must correspond to the passport data. Otherwise, the participant may be denied admission to the race.

5.3. Services provided to participants in a running event.

The participant is provided with the following services:

–Participation start package;

- individual chip for timing.

- result in the final protocol;

service in food points on the highway;

catering service after the finish;

- electronic certificate of participation posted on the website http://sportmaniacs.com

- First aid throughout the route (if necessary).

5.4. Starter package for a running event participant.

5.4.1. Participant's start package includes:

- starting number;

- individual chip for timing.

- additional gifts from partners

5.4.2. The issuance of starter packs is carried out only to registered participants who have provided medical certificates upon presentation of an identity document.

5.4.3. Starting time for issuing starter packs:

Port of Kalamata, Central Port (Panhellenic).

Days and hours of operation:

• Saturday 09/28/2019, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

• Sunday 09/29/2019, 07.30 – 08.45 am.

Runners are required to receive only their starter packs.

5.5. The fee for participation in a running event. Preferential categories of participants.

5.5.1. The fee for participation in a running event for senior citizens (women aged 55 years and older, men 60 years and older) is 50% of the current value at the time of registration for one participant.

5.5.2. For other categories of participants, the fee depends on the date of registration and is shown in the table below:

5.5.3. Participation fee is paid after filling out the registration form on the site http://sportmaniacs.com .

5.5.4. Payment Methods:

- in on-line mode by bank cards of VISA and MasterCard, PayPal payment systems. Details required for making the payment are listed on the website http://wrf.life, http://sportmaniacs.com

- when registering at the place of issuing starter packs, payment is made only in cash.

5.5.5. If a running event is canceled, participation fee is not refunded.

5.6. Safety and responsibility of participants in running events.

5.6.1. Each participant must independently monitor their health and undergo a medical examination for the presence of contraindications to prolonged physical exertion.

5.6.2. The participants of the Event, if necessary, during the running event along the entire length of the course are provided with the services of emergency medical care, as well as the services of doctors in the start-up area.

The organizers of the Event are not responsible for the loss of life or injury to the participant, loss or damage to the participant's property, as well as for any physical damage to the participant that occurred during the Event. This provision is valid before, during and after the official dates of the running events.

5.7. Insurance participants.

5.7.1. The event organizers recommend that participants of a running event have an accident and life insurance policy for the participant.

5.7.2. Voluntary insurance is carried out on the basis of a contract concluded between the insurer (an insurance organization selected by a participant) and the insured (participant).

5.8. Photo and video events.

5.8.1. The organizers take photos and videos of the Event without any restrictions.

5.8.2. The organizers reserve the right to use the materials they received during the Event at their discretion as part of their activities, as well as advertising running events.

6. Terms of change and cancellation of running events.

6.1. The running event can be canceled, or changes can be made to it, due to the occurrence of extraordinary, unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances that could not be reasonably expected, avoided or overcome, and also beyond the control of the Organizers. In particular, such circumstances include: natural disasters (earthquake, flood, hurricane); gusts of wind over 15 meters per second (inclusive); air temperature below minus 25 or higher plus 30 degrees Celsius (inclusive); the amount of precipitation is 20 mm and more for 12 hours or less;events, phenomena that the emergency services of Greece recognize as emergency and warns of their possible attack; fire; mass diseases (epidemics); strikes; hostilities; Act of terrorism; sabotage; traffic restrictions; prohibitive measures of states; the prohibition of trade operations, including with individual countries, due to the adoption of international sanctions; acts, actions, inaction of public authorities, local government; other circumstances beyond the control of the Organizers.

6.2. In the event of a threat or occurrence of the above circumstances, as a result of which the running event is canceled or changed, participants registered to take part in the running event are notified by SMS message to the phone number or by letter to the email address specified during the registration process.

7. Final provisions.

7.1. This Regulation is the official invitation-call for participation in the Event.

7.2. Cases and situations that are not described in this Regulation are considered by the Organizers on an individual basis, taking into account the norms of federal, regional, municipal legal acts, these Regulations.

7.3. The organizers reserve the right to make changes to this Regulation.
